The blue-chip Straits Times Index (STI) rose 24.87 points to end at 3,013.14 on Friday, in line with the gains on Asian markets and overnight Wall Street.
SINGAPORE: Singapore shares rallied for a second session on Friday, ending 0.8% higher.
The gains came as Asian stock markets tracked Wall Street higher, after the release of upbeat jobs data overnight eased concerns about the US economy that had contributed to heavy selling earlier in the week.
Singapore's blue-chip Straits Times Index (STI) rose 24.87 points to end at 3,013.14, climbing back above the key 3,000 level.
In the broader market, 2.21 billion shares changed hands. Gainers beat losers 234 to 188.
