Local Ultimate Frisbee team, Shiok! Singapore, lifted the Under Armour Singapore Ultimate Open 2014 title yesterday.
The final was a mighty encounter, as Shiok! Singapore took on the reigning champions, the Mixed Nuts from the Philippines.
Shiok! prevailed 16-15, continuing their good form after they finished 10th overall in the World Ultimate Club Championship earlier this year.
The competition, held over the weekend at the Farrer Park, is a collaboration between US sports brand Under Armour and the Ultimate Players Association (Singapore).
The Open saw a turnout of about 500 people, who included 17 teams from six countries facing off in two-day back-to-back matches.
