OCBC Singapore Pro Cycling Team's Goh Choon Huat continued his fine form at the Banyuwangi Tour de Ijen in Indonesia on Sunday with a fifth-place finish in Stage 2.
It was the second day in a row that the 22-year-old had recorded the highest-ever finish by a Singaporean rider in an International Cycling Union Asia Tour event. On Saturday, he finished sixth in the first stage.
At the halfway mark of the four-stage Tour, he is third in the General Classification standings, with team-mate Jason Christie holding a 1min 29sec lead over Aisan Racing Team's Nozomu Kimori.
New Zealander Christie won Stage 1 on Saturday and finished 11th on Sunday.
