The Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) has issued an alert against an entity that calls itself 'Singapore Company Register'. ACRA said the entity has been emailing and writing to companies to ask them to verify their company details with it.

SINGAPORE: The Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) has issued an alert against an entity that calls itself 'Singapore Company Register'.


ACRA said the entity has been emailing and writing to companies to ask them to verify their company details with it, warning that those who fail to do so would have their information deleted from the 'Singaporean Company Register database'.


In a statement issued on Tuesday, ACRA said it has no links whatsoever to 'Singapore Company Register', and is investigating the matter.


It has also issued public alerts at its corporate website and Facebook page, as well as through its news alert email system.
