Singapore Airlines announces 10 per cent discount on premium tickets

NEW DELHI: Singapore Airlines, which plans to start the Airbus A380 operations to India from May 30, announced special fares for premium seats and bonus frequent flyer miles to mark the launch of the superjumbo flights in the country.


As part of the launch offer, the PPS Club - the frequent flyer club for Singapore Airlines' premium passengers, will get a 10% discount on the 'Suites' ticket on the Airbus A380. 'Suites' is Singapore Airlines' first class product on the A380 which offers full bed in addition to other amenities. The offer is for tickets purchased between May 1 to May 15 for travel between June 1 and July 15.


For other frequent flyer members or the KrisFlyer members, passengers will receive a bonus 10% miles on tickets purchased between April 30 to June 6 for travel between May 30 and July 6. The offer will be valid across all travel classes, Suites, Business Class and Economy Class.


Apart from flying from India to Singapore, passengers can also take A380 connections to Frankfurt, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, New York, Paris, Shanghai, Sydney, Tokyo Narita and Zurich.


'Our special launch campaign promotions have been created to indicate the value that we intend to create for our Indian customers,' said David Lau, general manager - India, Singapore Airlines. 'In tandem with the A380 services, we have also revised the timing for the SQ 421 and SQ422 on the Mumbai-Singapore sector with effect from June 11. The schedule change allows passengers to maximise on their travel time whether for business or leisure along with providing convenient onward connections.'


From June 11, the SQ421 flight operated on a Boeing 777 will take off from Mumbai at 11.45AM instead of 8.45 AM at present. The SQ422 flight will take off from Mumbai at 7.30AM as against 2.35AM at present.
