Juventus completed their pre-season tour of Asia with a comfortable win over a Singapore Select XI side on Saturday, claiming a 5-0 victory in the inaugural match at the new National Stadium in Kallang.
Andre Pirlo scored twice from dead-ball situations to give Juve a 2-0 lead at half-time before Paul Pogba, Sebastian Giovinco and Kwadwo Asamoah netted in the second half.
The friendly was part of Juventus' preparations for the upcoming season, which will see the Bianconeri line up under a new manager in Massimiliano Allegri. After winning three straight league titles, Juve lost former manager Antonio Conte in the summer, with Conte later signing on to lead the Italian national team.
Pirlo opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a free-kick, rolling his low shot by the wall and past the helpless goalkeeper.
The Italian midfield legend then made it 2-0 two minutes before half-time, again from a set piece. This time, though, the goal came from a penalty, Pirlo slotting into the net after Roberto Pereyra was fouled in the Singapore box.
Juve carried their two-goal lead into half-time and wasted little time adding more in the second half. Pogba made it 3-0 within minutes of the restart with a fine solo goal, dribbling deftly past multiple defenders before curling in at the far post.
Pirlo then turned provider for his side's fourth. Again it was a set piece as the veteran curled in a corner from the right for Giovinco to volley in from the edge of the box.
Juve were cruising by then, but there was still time for another goal. In the 72nd minute, a Martin Caceres cross deflected to Asamoah, who volleyed into the bottom corner for the Bianconeri's fifth.
