Motorola may not have a presence here in Singapore, but that hasn't stopped the Google-owned company from launching its latest Moto G handset.

Retailing at S$318, the 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400-powered smartphone sports a 4.5-inch 720p display (1,280x720-pixels), and supports 3G connectivity only. It will also have dual-SIM capabilities.

The Moto G will run Android 4.3 out-of-the-box, with a promised Android 4.4 update to be available shortly after. The handset is bundled with 50GB of Google Drive storage free for two years, which helps to supplement the onboard 16GB of storage.

HardwareZone.com is reporting that the first 50 sets will be sold for S$99, while subsequent customers can get a 20 percent discount off the retail price. The launch event will be held from 11am to 3pm at Block 190, Toa Payoh Lorong 6 #01-510.
