After losing to Singapore in a close affair, 1-0, last June, the Philippines found themselves trailing by a similar scoreline entering the half, following a 28th minute goal by the home side.
Coming out of the break, Paolo Pascual replaced Nick O'Donnell as keeper, but the change had a negative effect, as a barrage of Singapore scores gave them a one-sided win, thanks to conversions at 52', 56', and 70'.
